quikCharts Tutorial
I. Open a
quikCharts database.
After starting the application, select
Tools->Database Connection from the main screen toolbar. Select a valid database file (.mdb
extension). You may use any number of databases to manage your data. The most recently opened database file will be
automatically opened the next time the application is started.
II. Create
a Data Record
From the main screen menu, select
Stat Data->Add.

Copy a column of data into the "Raw Data"
text area. Alternately, you may simply type this data in and hit
"Enter" after each value. In the "Spec Limits" tab, enter
the appropriate limits for your data.

In the "Control Limits" tab, enter
any historical control limits for your data. Alternately, you may leave
all values at 0 (zero). This will cause new control limits to be
calculated. Note that all values must be 0 (zero) for
control limits to be recalculated.

In the "Chart Setup" tab,
select sub group and sample sizes. Click on the checkbox to force a
calculation of new control limits (same as setting all current limtis to 0
(zero).

In the "Process Control" tab,
select the sensitivity and detection period for your data.

In the "Units" tab,
select the unit of measurement required for your data. If the unit
of measurement doesn't exit, click on the small button to the right of the
drop down list to add a new one.

When finished, save the record and
close the screen.
III. View
Your Control Charts
From the main screen toolbar, click
on the View Chart button. Your data will be displayed.
